My last day is February 1. I get my health insurance payed for the whole month by working one dayin February. I don't know if I am going to like being retired or not. I've been working just one day a week burning up all the vacation days i saved up over the years and I still just never seem to have enough time. On the other hand, i already really miss my job. You know that character Miles o'Brien in Star Trek? I think I had his life only for real. Well, I am not going to get kidnapped by Cardassians and put on trial for murder. But you know how in Star Trek you get everything you need? You have no worries about job security or money. You're always on duty but you get plenty of time off. And you have a job you do because you like it, because it is fun and interesting. That's my life. I could have compared myself to Scotty but he never seemed to have any interests other than his job. I do a lot of volunteer work. I'm into distance running and rock climbing. One of the groups I do volunteer work for takes disabled people rock climbing. Rock climbing is an excellent sport for the blind, by the way. So I figure I'll just do more of that when I retire. On 12/3/21 11:23 AM, Andrew Hodgson wrote:
Hi.
Enjoy your retirement. Have you any specific plans? When do you finish up?
Thanks. Andrew.

I'm retiring. Want my job? it's a great job. https://jobs.hr.wisc.edu/en-us/job/511554/system-engineer-ii
The pay is not great but the benefits and job security are outstanding. Initial interviews will be via Zoom. But you'd probably have to travel to Madison for the final interview. And you'd have to move here if you get the job. Madison is always in the top most livable cities in the country. -- ### John G.
