Hi, I did a search for it and got this: http://www.rsa.com/newsletter/Vantage/Fall2004/Fall2004/feature2.html Nothing much else. I am trying to find at least the part number, so I can get one ordered hopefully. Also, these work with the RSA SecurID system, so your app would either need to use this or be able to plug into the RSA system. Thanks. I've been watching the disscussions on the list for about a week, and i finally decided to hhop right into the train :) My name is Mario Percinic, and i'm from Croatia. Currently i work as a database administrator for one outsourcing company which works for Croatian t-mobile. The company started to employ blind people in their call center, and right now we have 4 people who work in call center and i'm working in the IT department together with our main system admin who is sited. When ever there are problems with blind folks, i'm fixing them including inaccessibility of internal apps, screen reader problems, etc. Darrel, can you give me the link where i can check more info about ttalking tokens? I'm interested because our call center use one application from t-mobile which use tokens for generating the password in order to login into the part of the aplication which is locked and consists all t-mobile database from whole country. Thanks in advance and reguards to all the rest of the people. I'll join the disscussion when ever i'll have something to say or ask :) Mario ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darrell Shandrow" <darrell.shandrow@gmail.com> To: "Blind sysadmins list" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Monday, March 10, 2008 11:00 PM Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] Remote monitoring of systems/on call work
Hello Andrew,
RSA offers a talking version of the OTP token. It probably costs more, but it would easily be considered a "reasonable accomodation" especially if its use is necessary in order to do your job.

Hi,
Yes, I am trying to push VPN, but due to recent compliance issues we have to use OTP technology, which will probably be in the form of an RSA one-time password token. :-(
However, I still need a method of knowing when there is actually a problem, some type of remote notification system that will let me know of the issue, then I can VPN in and go to the specific area.
Thanks. Andrew.

VPN is the way to go if at all possible.
The company I work for uses it and is pushing to get people to do telework (work at home). I'm working at home three days a week and have been on call using vpn for several years.

Hi,
Very quiet here at the moment, and there are plenty of members.
Just kicking off a topic which I have had to deal with recently.
Has anyone used any remote monitoring/diagnostic software, that if a specific problem (possibly using an API to communicate with a bespoke application to trigger events) occurs, that it will email or send an alert? How successful have these been?
The other issue, have any of you worked any on call system, and if so, how did you arrange transport to work if required? I am trying to avoid it now, but we may have to go down this road, using remote VPN where possible.
Thanks.
Andrew.
