I see lots of other people have addressed the sound issue. But about the unattended install, have you tried the Windows Automatic Installation Kit? I've only done it with Windows 7 and I don't know if it was available for versions of Windows before Vista. The Windows 7 version has a key for configuring sound but I haven't even looked at what properties it has because the defaults are good for Windows 7 installs. The Windows Automatic installation kit is a free download from Microsoft and it comes with pretty good documentation. The accessibility of the program is not great. I could not get it to work with nvda and had to use jaws to use it. And even then it was kind of tricky. The product allows you to create an xml answer file. Theoretically, you could probably create that file in a text editor. In fact, I often fire up notepad to make minor changes in my answer file. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Mehler" <dave.mehler@gmail.com> To: "blind-sysadmins" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Friday, June 03, 2011 8:43 PM Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] unattended install of server 2008?
Hello, Does anyone have a tutorial or procedure for an unattended install of server 2008? Also, how would one unattendedly enable sound? In server 03 I never got sound going without assistance, I'm hoping this issue has a fix in 08.
Thanks. Dave.
