Hi, The accessibility status hasn't changed since you last asked about it on 22/05/2014 <smile>. This is actually a blessing in disguise though as Spinrite is a terrible program for data recovery. Instead, I'd suggest booting into your favorite *nix distro and running ddrescue (which probably won't be installed by default) on the drive. Make sure you connect the source & destination drives directly to SATA instead of USB. Also make sure that the machine is one that you can leave on for a number of days if required, depending on the condition of the drive. Good luck. Ben. Hi,
Spinrite is a DOS application and so will need a DOS screen reader to work.

Hello,
I've got a hard drive that I know has issues windows disk check tells me so and from what it's been putting me through I have no doubt. I'm wanting to use spinrite on it. I am wondering if anyone has figured out how to make spinrite talk? I know the native interface does not.
Thanks. Dave.
