I am still in the process of taking a other microsoft exam. Years ago working with pearsonvue was fine. Then ms switched to prometric and the trouble started out there. Years ago I belive it was 2006 I was able to select my own reader / scriber for a ms exam provided by pearson vue. Thats not possible anymore, and you are handed over to sometimes people who totally are not able to describe if we are dealing with a slash or a backslash. In the case of a ms exam, you need to submit the forms where Greg talked about earlyer today. Pearson will review them, and sent a go or a nogo within 10 businessdays. Then, you can fix your self a ms ID and with that, you can start up the process by calling them on their phoneline which s transfered to their administrative office in India. The special acomodation planning is also done from India. They contact a test center, for you, and they will book a human reader / scribe. Since this last experience, I gave up with them, I feel like this is my last chanse I gave to pearson. It is in deed a lot of calling, paperwork and e-mailing besides the normal prep for a certification. Vincent. On 1/3/2017 7:05 PM, Anatoliy Shudrya wrote:
It is not an easy process. You'd really need to stay on top of it if you want some accommodations. In addition to studying the material you would need to always call them to make sure everything is as planned etc. I think about 8-9 years ago, I took my A+ and Network+ with a reader, passed no problem, but when things came down to Microsoft certs, the reader didn't show up, I was really bombed out, totally said forget it, I am not doing it any more. Maybe things have changed since, wish you good luck. It's like a joke for them, but for me, 3 month of Studying, many calls and on hold to confirm everything is on schedule as planned, finding baby sitter for the day, asking my wife to take a day off to take me to testing center an hour away because the closest one is not accessible "supposedly," and all they can say that the reader is not here, please reschedule. Oh, yes, please deal with refunding and ordering and paying for new cert/appointment on your own as well.

Hello Folks
I am going through the process of applying to complete the Security Plus creditation with CompTIA.
However, I have been advised by the examination centre that I must first register with Pearson Vue.
They have a process of providing accomodations for folks who need this.
I am experiencing difficulty with this process. 1. They do not appear to have specific accommodation for blind persons. 2. The website doesn't allow me to complete the process of applying for an accommodation. 3. There's nobody to contact about this.
Before I start digging deeper, has anyone out there had similar problems in the past with Pearson Vue, with regards to applying for accomodations.
Regards, Paul
The application must be made through their website.
