Hi Jeff: I run SCCM where I work, and while we don't use remote control, I know a little about how it works. Which version of SCCM are you using, 2007 or 2012? I imagine that since you find the console accessible you're using 2007. SCCM 2007 uses the normal Windows remote assistance feature to establish remote control to a machine. So, if your screen reader supports remote assistance, then you should be fine. The normal problem is that you will need a copy of the screen reader running on both your computer and the remote machine, which for desktop support purposes becomes quite difficult if you're working in a mainstream organization. SCCM 2012 uses a different remote control solution, we have not upgraded to SCCM 2012 yet where I work and I have no plans to do that upgrade in the near future so I can't comment on how well that works with screen readers, however, SCCM 2012's admin console has some major accessibility problems, and just plane frustrates me. I am being offered a position for which I need to use this program. Preliminary testing shows that the program itself is accessible, however I am unable to get any speech feedback from JFW14 regarding the remote machine. For additional information, I can find the computer, right click it, select Start and then Remote Tools from the menu. Any advice is welcomed!
