My POP account worked fine until very recently - the last six weeks or so. I have tried using several different versions of Jaws, which are all just as sluggish as each other, so have put the difference down to an Outlook update of some kind.

POP is sluggish, period. Change to Imap and you'll be happier.

I'm using Jaws with Outlook 2016 on Windows 10 to connect to Exchange at work and am not finding it at all sluggish, but using Jaws with Office 365 on Windows 7 at home where I have Outlook set up to use a POP account, it is very sluggish indeed.

Hi,
Is anyone else encountering sluggishness with jaws when using office 365 Outlook 2016 desktop version? Two jaws users both noticed the same thing in my organization. Outlook moves a little bit better with nvda but not much.
I have disabled add-ins for Skype for business, and Zoom video conferencing, but this is not helped. It takes about 4 seconds to open a message before jaws can begin reading it. Delays are also encountered when changing folders and browsing for files for attachments. I'm wondering if this is a screen reader issue or Office 365.
