Install Linux and run something like rivermuse or opennms. http://www.opennms.org Very complex tool but does everything you want plus more. Also has built in alerting. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Darragh.OHeiligh@Oireachtas.ie> To: "Blind sysadmins list" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 8:36 AM Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] SNMP alerts. Hello again, I am looking for an application that I can run locally that will let me see SNMP alerts. I need to see the not so major things as well as the more obvious like servers not responding within a certain amount of time for example. I need to see when disks run low on space, processor utilization is high over a sustained amount of time, particular services stop responding etc. The company uses What's up gold however I find it really hard to get this information from the web interface. Any suggestions?
