Hi: We have two different backup solutions going right now. I can’t speak to their accessibility since I don’t manage them anymore (thankfully) but they have been pretty reliable. At our main and DR sites, we have Unitrends appliances, they backup physical machines with an agent, and tie into our virtual hypervisor solutions to do VM backups. They do one full backup and then they add incrementals on top of that. You can move the backups off to tape as well for long-term archival. We have virtual appliance versions of the Unitrends physical appliances at all our remote sites and they can be managed through the same console. Unitrends is SQL aware, but for SQL we have a product called Exogrid in place to handle those, it does specific SQL backups and then passes those off to the Unitrends appliances. That’s to handle the SQL 2012 Always on that we have going. So, as I said I don’t know about accessibility but that may be a start. Ryan

Good morning,
Do you have any preferred backup solutions?
I need to backup about 1.5GB of data using incremental and full backups.
A self contained backup solution or an appliance would be fine. Lllll
It needs to be accessible of course.
Any suggestions? _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
