Hi, You can only manage it with these tools, if you want to manage Windows Server 2012 R2 you need an 8.1 client. The majority of the tools from the Win7 RSAT will work fine with the Win SVR 2012 R2, its just some new technologies you won't be able to remotely manage. Hi, Let's be clear, if you want to do ADUC stuff it will work fine with the Windows 7 RSAT on Windows 7. If you want to admin Server 2012 R2 specific features, you need to use the 8.1 RSAT kit. It's always been this way since XP and 2003.
