Recommendations for PBX and softphones for windows?
Hi all, We are, as i said in another thread, changing our PBX from a hardware device to a cloud/software based solution. Which PBX are you recommending? I saw that some are using FreePBX and FusionPBX. And which softphones are you recommending for Windows? We are also getting ried of our old hardware phones as well. I want something i can use comfortably which isn't in the way all the time when the phone starts ringing. Are there also headset recommendations? Our city has around 100-200 phones. Greetings, Simon
Hi Simon, I use MicroSIP for Windows. Doug Lee has some JAWS scripts if you use JAWS, at http://www.dlee.org. I also use Sipgate as my provider and it works well. Hi Steve, Thanks for the info. Yes i looked at MicroSIP as well and i also used it for a while. I don't know anymore why i stopped using it though. I guess it was something with the contacts. Or with the system wide hotkeys. I also looked at phoner lit4e which also was pretty interesting. Though i currently use my physical phone for the moment. hello dears i'm very interest to know more about accessible soft phones and headset brands specially which support split sound. hopefully we could find accessible crm / call center systems. accessible technology will lead to better work for us in this field. thanks On Wed, May 8, 2024 at 3:58 PM Eigeldinger Simon via Blind-sysadmins < blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> wrote:

Hi. With that number of phones have you looked at Teams/M365 with a SIP gateway? If you discounted that what was the reason? Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: Eigeldinger Simon via Blind-sysadmins <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Wednesday, May 8, 2024 10:40 AM To: Mailing list for blind system administrators <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Cc: Eigeldinger Simon <simon.eigeldinger@hohenems.at> Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Recommendations for PBX and softphones for windows? Hi Andrew, Why we are not using Teams as a pbx i don't know. I guess it was something with missing features and various things maybe not available with teams. We are using teams with the planner and the chat features already as well as meetings.
