Hi Everyone, I was recently tasked with trying to make some images of both Windows XP and Windows 7 machines. Currently they are using Norton Ghost 11.5. It is horribly not visually accessible. I am able to do something if it more of a command line thing than the Windows PE that it uses for you to do everything. What do you guys recommend for this situation? Best Regards, Billy L. If I understand correctly you want to make windows rescue images. If so, I can recommand image for windows. Very accessible. http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-windows.htm You even can restore from linux live cd with speech. Negoslav ----- Original Message ----- From: "Billy L. Thanks a million!!! I am going to try it out. We have 30 PCs that need to be cleaned and reloaded. After we get one installed like we want it, then we will make an image and load all with that same image. I believe you hit the nail on the head. Thanks again! Best Regards, Billy L. I was going to suggest that you slave the drive and then use something like drive image xml or acronice which is what I do, but negoslav's solution seems much better if you don't want to play with hardware. On 04/02/2011, Billy L. Irwin <irwin.billy@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello again, The software has the ability to create speakup enabled bootable cd, but in order to use it you need hardware speech synthesizer. If you don't have such thing, here is an alternative method to create vinux live cd with image for Linux built in. With vinux you don't need hardware speech synth. Here are the instructions. http://mysite.verizon.net/marangs/CreateVinuxRescueDVD.html It takes some efforts , but I believe they will pay back. Now I found problem with one of the lynx in the instructions and wrote to the author. If you have problems write here. If I understand correctly you want to make windows rescue images. If so,
I can recommand image for windows. Very accessible. http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-windows.htm You even can restore from linux live cd with speech.

Hi Everyone,
I was recently tasked with trying to make some images of both Windows XP and Windows 7 machines. Currently they are using Norton Ghost 11.5. It is horribly not visually accessible. I am able to do something if it more of a command line thing than the Windows PE that it uses for you to do everything. What do you guys recommend for this situation?

Hi Again all, My local commission for the blind if offering me the chance to get my MCITP. Can any of you offer any suggestions as to who would be the most accessible institution or method for achieving this. Currently they don't know where to send me. I do use some ZoomText and JAWS, but I can do some with out. What do you guys recommend for best success in doing this? I went through the CCNA for Cisco but I found it to be a real pain in the rump because of all the images. I past the classes very well but I couldn't do the final exam from Cisco. Thanks, Billy
Hi, I use www.firebrandtraining.co.uk You might want to see if they have locations in the US. Cheers, Barry.
