Hi, I have just done a major upgrade of the Mailman machine, if there is something which appears to be broken, let me know as soon as possible. Thanks. Andrew.
Hello, I'm trying to get postfix and mailman working on an fc6 vps system. The postfix machine is using postfix virtual mailbox domains, that is all virtual users, no one local, and is currently hosting four domains I'll call them domain1.com, through domain4.com for this message. Two of the domains are now going to get lists on them, one at lists.domain1.com and the other at lists.domain4.com. And the address of sending would be something like <listname>@lists.domain1.com this is what I understand. The problem is it's not working, sending to the list gives an error no such user in virtual mailbox domain. If anyone has ideas let me know, I can provide my configs if theres anyone who wants to take a shot at this, I'm a little uncomfortable about posting them outright. I'd appreciate any help one of the lists is kind of urgent. Thanks. Dave.
Hi, I got it working once by following this link: http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-install/postfix-virtual.html I think the main thing is to ensure that lists.domain1.com is receiving normal mail, then see if you can integrate Mailman with this. With the above setup, the Mailman scripts will change the relevant aliases file which Postfix will reference automatically. The only issue with the above is that you have to have unique listnames throughout the whole machine - i.e, you can't have listname@domain1.com, and listname@domain2.com. I moved our Mailman to Exim in the end, as it was a lot easier and more flexible to setup, and we could avoid the issue of the separate aliases files being used. Any chance of upgrading to a higher version of FC? FC9 is out now, and I am not sure of the supported status of FC6. Thanks.
