You also might be interested in using a USB Stick that contains the live media plus a persistent partition to save programs and documents. I don't understand why you want to have the live media on the hd. whats the sense of that? that you could use the cd drive? You also might be interested in using a USB Stick that contains the live media plus a persistent partition to save programs and documents.

I usually use easy BCD to add WinPe to boot menu. instead of booting from DVD or usp ...

could I do the same with live Linux? I mean extract live Linux to HD, then ad it to boot menu and boot to live Linux directly from hd instead of using usp?
