Hello, I might be in the market for a new vps provider. I was wondering if anyone uses either digital ocean or vultr? If either how are they in terms of accessibility? My current vps provider made some changes that IMO shot accessibility down plus some of these changes also took out a majority of my setup, I am not pleased about this. Any input welcome. Thanks. Dave.
Dave, you really might wish to tell us what you do w/your vps, as it may (or may not) make a difference. Having thus stated, I like Digital Ocean & I like Linode. Digital Ocean does seem to be cheaper. On 3/14/20, David Mehler <dave.mehler@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello, Thanks. Right now I'm trying to get what was working as of January 12, what is not working as of now, acme.sh working with letsencrypt. Linode's old cloud manager use to work with the API key that I used, and it would with acme.sh work with the dns01 challenge method with letsencrypt and renew my tls certificates. This is now not working at all. I'm quite frustrated with this new interface they've got. What I do is run FreeBSD servers, that's why I asked on Vultr and Digital Ocean, I know they support FreeBSD, and there accessibility? Mostly it's email and web setups plus backend databases for three or four domains. I'm also working in to having an asterisk server out there. Thanks. Dave. Yeah, they made a transition from classic to cloud or whatever. You just have to get it moved over to the cloud platform in order to get a new API key so that LetsEncrypt can give certs. I had to do that w/a client's websites, &, although it was initially a bit of a pita, it really didn't take all that long to sort it out. It just depends on whether you wanna go thru the trouble. I'm not sure that Digital Ocean has an accessible console like Linode does in the event you can't get into your box, ie, if you lose your SSH key & have no password, etc, though I think even then you can go into the control panel, change the settings, & get in that way. As I said, I've used both, & I like them equally. On 3/14/20, David Mehler <dave.mehler@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi, I like Vultr, because they do Windows as well as Linux boxes. They are always fast, and I have never known my website down since I used them. Hello, Thanks all for your reply. Jackie, how did you get the new API key and tls certificates going? Thanks. Dave. On 3/15/20, Steve Nutt <steve@comproom.co.uk> wrote:
