terminal servers and sharepoint?
Hello, I might have a position where i have to interact with a terminal server, possibly installing apps or setting permissions to it, and or sharepoint, which i have very limited experience with. I was wondering if anyone had access to these? My screen reader for day to day use is jfw 10, though i do have NVDA on a thumb drive for situations where i have to go to a box for work and the machine doesn't have jfw and narrator won't do it. Advice or suggestions or if anyone has one i could check out i'd appreciate it. Thanks. Dave. David Mehler (MCSA 2003, MCP, Network+, A+) dave.mehler@gmail.com
Hi, Sharepoint is relatively painless - it needs IIS setup, an SQL backend (often on a different server to the Sharepoint farm), and depending on the size of the farm, several servers acting as different members. In our environment we just have all components on one server and the database on the other - the database server doesn't have anything related to Sharepoint on it. Once setup completes and you run the farm creation wizard, the rest can be done via a remote computer via a website which is accessible enough. Not much experience with terminal server sorry.
