Hey congratulations on the new gig.
Also, as someone who is usually very critical of microsoft, lately I’ve noticed a real improvement on the accessibility commitment side including just learning about a twitter feed from microsoft accessibility.
Way to go. Glad to see this and again congrats on your new job.

I wanted to let you all know that I've taken a new position with Microsoft. I'm working under Gianugo Rabellino, who is also on this list, on the Cloud and Enterprise (C&E) team. Together we'll be working on accessibility of a lot of the products blind Microsoft sysadmins use, so like Gianugo I encourage your feedback and a frank conversation about the needs of blind system administrators and other IT pros in the Microsoft world.

Chris, I see you’re running a windows 10 phone. If you have a minute, either on list if there’s any interest or off list if not could you ell me about the accessibility there. I have Android and iPhone at my disposal but had no idea Win 10 phones were accessible enough to use. Very curious here.

I'm curious as well. Thanks again to everyone for the well wishes. I hear you all on your concerns on the accessibility of MS products, and quite frankly I share them. There’s a lot of work to do and it will take time for us to build up headway, but trust me we’re on it as much as we can be. For those that don’t know, Microsoft now has an Enterprise Disability Answer Desk, that complements the regular Disability Answer Desk for consumer products. You can reach someone there by emailing edad@microsoft.com I’d highly encourage all of the sysadmins having issues with MS products, especially if they are causing you to have problems performing your job duties, to email that address. Describe the problems you’re having, the setup you have (screen reader, operating system, etc.) and how it is impacting your ability to do your job. Because there are so many products and a lot of work to do, we obviously have to prioritize what we can work on, and hearing actual user stories does impact our priorities. My team does work closely with the EDAD, so your issues will be passed on. Thanks.
