Hi, Anyone here used the above with SQL Server 2008 R2 management studio? I am getting very inconsistent reading of the left-hand pane where we have the master tree view of the databases, management objects etc. I am having to double check all the work I am doing on that side of the screen with the Jaws cursor at the moment, to ensure I hit on the right object... The rest of the system is working fine. Thanks. Andrew.
Andrew: I haven't played with SQL Server 2008R2 or JAWS 12, but I see this all the time with other MMC apps and Window-Eyes, including SQL Management Studio 2008 non R2. I think it's a timing issue, AKA, once you hit down arrow, your focus is taking a little longer to change than the screen reader is expecting, so its assumed focus has changed and reads the selected item before things are ready. I've really not found a good fix for the problem, but I agree its very annoying. System Center Config Manager is horrible about this. Hi, I am wondering whether this has anything to do with smooth scrolling effects. When you are moving through the different elements, I can see the highlight gradually moving to the next item. I am going to see if we can disable this either in the options or the registry. Thanks. Andrew. Sent from my iPhone On 22 Dec 2010, at 00:54, "Ryan Shugart" <rshugart@pcisys.net> wrote:

I haven't tried 2008 but in 2005 I've found it's best to use the summary window (f7) instead of the tree view. Not sure how much that's changed. On Dec 21, 2010, at 8:14 PM, Andrew Hodgson wrote:
