windows 10 sfc corrupted files
Hello, I booted a win10 machine from win10 talking PE, and ran sfc /scannow it reported some file corruption but said it was unable to fix it. NVDA wasn't reading the screen very well like it couldn't focus, and I have no idea where the log is, it's in c:\windows\logs\ somewhere. If anyone knows where these logs would be or how to get sfc in a PE to repair the corruption i'd appreciate knowing. Thanks. Dave.
Hi David Not used win PE for a while so I cannot remember if you have internet access, as you would need this in order for Windows to download replacements for any corrupted system files. another thought is that you might need admin rights to replace corrupted system files and those permissions are not available under Win PE. usually when you run SFC the UAC pops up and I imagine this does not happen. Am sure others will know the reason, but thought I'd put some ideas out there. Darren. On 30/03/2018 22:04, David Mehler wrote:
