Hi, We currently have an old SecurID with the old token setup. I don't use this atm because I am unable to see the numbers on the token. We are looking at upgrading or replacing this, does anyone use the iPhone app and find it usable? I am unable to test this as when I go into the app it needs a security license which we don't have. Any alternative products that may be more workable? Thanks. Andrew.
For an IOS app, the Verisign VIP works fine as that's the one Paypal uses if
you want an extra factor for logging in. I'm not sure how that one works for
the server side for someone to buy at will and use. The one I recently heard
of on that Security Now show is called Yubikey. It's a very small thing you
plug into a USB port, and it spits one-time code material by simulating a
USB keyboard, so no access issues for the blind there. Their company website
is at http://www.yubico.com. It seems that a lot of players are entering
this one, not sure how feasible cloud-based things like phonefactor or
duosecurity are.

Andrew: I don't know anything about the iPhone app, but at a previous job we were looking at moving to two factor authentication and I read that RSA had talking tokens available. We never completed the move for various reasons, but was wondering if anyone else had heard this? Andrew,
I have a USB token here.
It has the normal print read out on it as well but when plugged in via USB
and with the required software installed, this solution is fully
accessible.

Hi,
Have you tried the iPhone app at all? We are looking at getting rid of hardware tokens if possible.
Andrew.

Waiting on a BYOD policy to be implemented.
The policy server has already been built so hopefully we'll get to play
with that soon.

Hi,
What is a "policy server" in relation to your BYOD strategy?

The policy server will be used to distribute applications and restrict
access to devices wwhere users agree to the information security policy.
Until users agree to this, they will be restricted from joining crucial
parts of the network and officially, we won't have anything to do with
them.
The chosen policy server supports both IOS, Windows mobile and Android.

Hi,
Can you divulge the product you are using? Very interested in this as we are going through the same thing.
What about Windows machines that people bring in such as laptops etc?
Andrew.

Sorry Andrew, I cant at the moment.
I will say though that a lot of enforcement of Windows machines is done
through 802.1X authentication.
