Does VMWare Have an Accessibility Group or Specific People Working on Accessibility
Hi, We are actively using VMWare, and while I read (I think on this lists home page) that the VMWare admin client was quite accessible, we are wondering if VMWare has either an accessibility group, or some specific employees that are knowledgeable and/or work on accessibility? We will certainly test the tools ourselves, but we wanted to be connected to a resource within VMWare as well if possible who is familiar with accessibility. I talked to VMWare's CTO, Steve Herrod, about this a couple of years ago. At the time, they did not have an accessibility group or anyone responsible for verifying accessibility. I've been working on trying to create a committee for the International Association of Visually Impaired Technologists (www.iavit.org) to create a standard form or checklist we can send to companies like VMWare offering general suggestions on how to make accessibility part of their corporate culture. Something like creating an accessibility group or designating someone as their accessibility czar might be on that checklist. If you are interested in helping with this, let me know.
