All, I am President of an organization called the International Association of Visually Impaired Technologists. One function of the group is to work with technology vendors to advise them on how their products could be made more accessible. I am currently seeking volunteers to help generate a list of companies to contact and to compile a list of accessibility issues with those products. I am interested in the products which most impact your ability to perform your job and the accessibility issues with those products. I would like to have specific details about the accessibility problems so that I can mention them when contacting the manufacturers. I'm assuming I will not personally have used many of the products other technologists are struggling with so I am seeking both comments about accessibility problems as well as volunteers to serve as technical resources about the products. Please send your comments to me at jheim@math.wisc.edu.
