talking windows installer
Hi. T would cost me $426.92 aust, for the pro version. Well. It does have a talking repair, if I needed to repair windows 8.1. Well. Does the free talking win pe work with windows 8.1, and windows 10? Also. I tried to boot from my dvd on my other Toshiba machine, made a dvd, the mega disk, as only have a usb stick, and the basic, not sure if that would boot. And my folks not technically expert, at looking at bios, stuff. Marvin. Ps: so what are my options for a talking install. Pity Microsoft would not have a talking installation and repair kit for install windows 10 for a blind user. Marvin.

Long answer, the piece of Bryan's TWPE that makes it talk had to be built into and bolted onto the available Windows Pre-Installation Environment, so presumably if some enterprising soul wanted to try to do it, a TWPE for 8.1 and now 10 could theoretically be built. However, since Win10 is as new as it is, no one has yet tried it. I installed win vista, 7, 8, and test builds Win 10 wwith success using talking Win PE. But I am afraid that you will have trouble instaling that with machines with UEFI, and secure boot enabled. -- Michał Dziwisz michal@dziwisz.net
How did you install Windows 10 using the Talking Windows Pre-Installation Environment? Did you modify the supplied install batch file, or did you simply use the Windows 7 Run dialog to run the setup on the Windows 10 distribution medium? If you did that, that's great news.
