Hi, Does anyone have any tips for successfully getting around the unified network console? My issue seems to be in say, the list of networks (settings>networks), JFW sees it as a listbox, and turning of the virtual PC cursor etc doesn’t make any difference, and can’t read anything in it. NVDA sees it as a table but that table only has the first entry. It seems to be a view they like to use, as the list of WiFI networks is the same. I had a self-hosted controller also and that seems to be the same. I think the unified app is better, but I’d rather manage it via desktop. Thanks, Kieran
Hi. I find there are a lot of links that don't announce as links. SO for example if I search for networks in the console, and see my list of networks, I can hit enter on one and it will open up settings for that network. Its getting better than it was, and is usable to some extent, but not sure I would want to manage a huge deployment with it. Hi, Thanks, I’ll give that a go. No, it’s nothing major, just converting my home network over to unifi. I was mikrotik but WiFi is starting to annoy me; my smart home devices weren’t working properly so I bought a unified AP to try and get around it and like it so much I decided mikrotik had to go. Hi. Yeah, I really like the idea of the software defined network, and the low barrier to entry. What kit did you go with in the end? Some type of Dream Machine? Their marketing strategy works really well with prosumers, you buy one thing and then seem to end up with the full stack within a year! Greetings, I have 10+ Dream Machine Pro's deployed for our county wi-fi. They work great for me over all. One way I deal with it is by using the mouse echo and move the mouse around to explore the page and click on things. It would be nice if they would label these buttons. It is 10 x better than it was though. I have a 100+ AP's on it as well. I will at some point integrate it into our FortNet/Cisco environment as I am redoing all of our subnets and VLANS. Hi. Nice setup. I like the power requirements on the Cloud gateways. Still not sure whether to go out for a UDM-SE with integrated power over ethernet, and use that to power a switch and an access point. I'm in a small flat, but have a gig connection through Hyperoptic. Shame about modem mode not working correctly on newer VM hubs, I read about that somewhere else.
