Anybody recall the magic key sequence needed to rescue a Windows 7 computer from a Win7 installation CD? I believe it involves booting from the CD, opening a command window, and then typing a rescue command. Googl ing tells me that you can open a command window when booted from an installer CD by pressing F10. Lots of people say you can then type "bootrec /fixboot" but that doesn't seem to work. I've done this before and that doesn't ring a bell. I think there is a command to run the rescue program on the CD but I can't recall what it is. -- --- John G. Heim, 608-263-4189, jheim@math.wisc.edu
