I find this discussion rather disengenuous in that I doubt anyone lifted a finger to help with the project in the first place. Its always so in this community. I've been on this list for years begging people to help with the International Association Of Visually Impaired Technologists. It was an attempt to create a long lasting place for projects like this. People are always like, "We should do this or that." But what they really mean is someone else should do this or that. Either that or they insist on doing their own thing. This always seems to be the problem with the software that this individual (Chris) works on, and is why I never used the software after I found out that he wasn't making the server available. I guess we are now stuck with hosting our own unofficial server.

Hi John, No seems we can't. For example there are so many blind techie lists and many other lists just because someone thought it might be a good idea to create another one or because they where not liking someone on the list or whatever reason. Thats sad unfortunately. Fortunately other people do that as well. We have various scuba clubs for example over here just a few kilometers apart. Most don't have many people and basically fail after a few years. Nobody knows for what that is for. I never got the idea out of that. I guess i wouldn't have said nothing much when i didn't know that there was other projects ended that way by him and without any notice. NVDA Remote is a good addon in what it is. It works well over here and i get most tasks done.
