PowerCLI is still available and works as before. VMWare pushes the Flashed-based client now but the older client is still available and works much as before, don’t expect any new functionality though. I personally use Powershell for most VMWarestuff I do these days which isn’t much anymore. How accessible is VMware eSXI 6?
What can be done. What cannot be done?
Can I still use VSphere?
Can I use powershell with VCenter?
Any suggestions or help welcome. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
Propriotary clients are one of the reasons why me and the rest of my entire group hate vmWare with a passion ... Hyper-V all the freaking way! Katherine, in what sense is VMWare’s client any more or less proprietary than Microsoft’s? I’ve not had that much exposure to HyperV so am genuinely curious, everything I’ve seen showed the two clients were about the same. From a non accessibility standpoint, VMWare’s client runs on a wider variety of operating systems since its web-based where MS’s is Windows only, so I’m just curious.
