hello friends: please is a blind can work on orkal? how about this field's accessibility? and any tutorials about it? or experience? thanks. ibraam
Ibraam, I have found some parts of Oracle harder to work with than others. Some of the utility programs did not work very well with Jaws. Hopefully that has changed. As far as tutorials, you are in luck. The Oracle web site has a number of things that can be downloaded at no cost, including the Oracle database software. Hi, I am using jaws version eight with windows xp. I am trying to gain access to console one, to reset citrix passwords. Jaws gives me no speach when I launch this application, yet console run is running from my c drive. The application is loading ok and responding to various keystrokes, but there is no feedback from jaws. Is console one accessible? and if so, what do I need to do, to get jaws talking with it. Thanks. Brian.
Do you mean oracle? I do some work with Oracle. There used to be a problem with the installer. It is written in java and years ago, screen readers wouldn't work with it. But you could do an automaticc install. I haven't installed oracle for a couple of years but even though screen readers may have caught up, I just did the old automatic install. After the install, I use a command line tool called sqlplus to manipulated the database. It is a character mode program and works fine with any screen reader. I also do a lot of web programming and perl programming with oracle databases. That works fine of course. So I think it dpends on what you're going to do with oracle. But you can do a lot. ----- Original Message ----- From: "romance's prince" <romanticbiro@yahoo.co.uk> To: "Blind sysadmins list" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Wednesday, July 15, 2009 2:04 PM Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] orkal and accessiblity?

And Oracle has a great sky box at Pac Bell Park as a side note.:) I have a friend who is in Sr. Management and would invite me to go with about 4 others in a box ready to host 300. Was crazy! ----- Original Message ----- From: "John G.
