Has anybody out here used Discoverer to draw reports from an Oracle database? I know that Oracle, as a rule, isn't very accessible and I am wondering if this product is. I am using the latest JFW. Thx, Jeff
Hi, I wasn't going to respond to this mainly because I haven't used the product in question, but is there a reason why you can't generate them manually using sqlplus? I know from many a late night playing with it over SSH during my computer science days that it is perfectly usable, although I'm not sure if these are happy memories or not. Cheers, Ben. I am not in our IT department, so may be limited in what tools are at my disposal. Do to my technical skills, I have been asked by my manager if I can assist in generating some queries, as it takes too long to get the IT department to generate them. As a result, the tool that is at my disposal is Discoverer and I need to figure out a way to use it, or find out if it is useable.
