The game is also being made for windows phone, though, until the moment, there are no tools to access this device (something that may change after the game's development); how the game is intended for both blind and for sighted, will sound and image, stating altitude, etc.. following questions: then we want to know: what games have been developed for the blind here in world? the blind have a game such as xbox360? if so, what are the difficulties? Another detail: what are the expectations regarding the game helicopter that we are developing. what is the opinion of you / them on the games industry? which needs to be improved to ensure access by the disabled visual to this niche market? masters / as, believe that there was some evolution in development of games for the blind? if so, what? What can be improved, in the opinion of you / them? experience with consoles: What consoles (games) have been played by gentlemen? what games? difficulties they encountered? statistics: how many visually impaired people in the world, between 6 and 45 years? which the perspective of you, regarding the use of kinect for blind people? big hug and look personal response.
Julian- I have played the Wii console with some difficulty but not all the games, mostly the sports. Many gamers are out their, and David Greenwood from GMA games has developed a Submarine simulation and Tank simulation game for the pc and I play it as well and enjoy it. I would suggest you look up GMA Games from Canada and also do a google search on Audio games for the blind -----Original Message----- From: blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Juliano Cesar Ribeiro Sent: Friday, April 13, 2012 8:34 AM To: Blind sysadmins list Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] questions game develophment staff, my name is Julian, I'm from Brazil, the city of Brasilia. we are developing a helicopter game for blind people, who aims to save people in the midst of natural desasters.the game will be playable by both blinded by psychics. we will be participating in international competition picture cup (Microsoft) for this reason, the game is being created xna (development platform games). Julian, My name is Greg. I think a game you might want to review is "Terraformers" it is playable by both sighted and non-sighted users. For sighted users there are graphics or for non sighted users the graphics can be turned off to lessen the game's use of CPU power but for me the game played fine in either mode. In this game a lot of the items that had to be tracked in inventory were handle by a "artificial intelligence" that is built into the game player's suit. The easiest way to find out more information would be to Google Terraformers. There's a game by rss games called shoot-da-me that uses a helicopter, available at rssgames.net. I believe it can play on both linux & windows boxes, but I could be mistaken about that. Basically u shoot wherever the sound is coming from, or, sometimes, from the opposite of where the sound comes from. On 4/13/12, Juliano Cesar Ribeiro <juliano.ribeiro@call.inf.br> wrote:

However, Juliano, I really think this topic would be better on the program-l list, as this is primarily a list for blind system administrators. Program-l is specifically for programmers, & there are likely more game developers on that list who could be of assistance. Send an email to program-l-request@freelists.org w/the word subscribe in the subject line & that should fix u up. On 4/13/12, Jackie McBride <abletec@gmail.com> wrote:

There's a game by rss games called shoot-da-me that uses a helicopter, available at rssgames.net. I believe it can play on both linux & windows boxes, but I could be mistaken about that. Basically u shoot wherever the sound is coming from, or, sometimes, from the opposite of where the sound comes from.

Julian,
My name is Greg. The easiest way to find out more information would be to Google Terraformers.

staff, my name is Julian, I'm from Brazil, the city of Brasilia. we are developing a helicopter game for blind people, who aims to save people in the midst of natural desasters.the game will be playable by both blinded by psychics. we will be participating in international competition picture cup (Microsoft) for this reason, the game is being created xna (development platform games). (consider our reality as well as Brazil, the answer this question). If there were no developments, pointing out that improvements could be made. kinect question: any of you had any experience with kinect? which difficulties? What can be improved, in the opinion of you / them?
experience with consoles: What consoles (games) have been played by gentlemen? what games? difficulties they encountered?
statistics: how many visually impaired people in the world, between 6 and 45 years? which the perspective of you, regarding the use of kinect for blind people?

Program-l is specifically for programmers, & there are likely more game developers on that list who could be of assistance.
