Hi, I'm not sure I understand what advantages there are to someone running a physical host to host such a list. Why wouldn't you just use a cloud list provider these days. I've had good experience with groups.io which will even automate the migration for you for lists coming from certain sources. You'd need to check groups.io out as it was a couple of years ago I migrated a list on to there. It was very easy to do though. Guys, Just an update on this. I need to move a couple of lists so having just this list moved to a new host provided by someone else isn't an option. I have looked at Google Groups and a couple of others but they don't support transferring archives. I am now in discussion with groups.io to work out if this is possible, their support turnaround is very slow. Andrew.

As the main reason for keeping this server around has now gone as the client has moved elsewhere, I will look to move this list elsewhere and shut down lists.hodgsonfamily.org. I am probably going to choose Google Groups unless there is a reason anyone hates them with a passion.
