cisco pbx and non cisco sip devices
Hi all, As i wrote a few months ago, we plan to get a cisco pbx running virtually. Does someone know if cisco pbx can work with other sip equipment from other vendors? Or are there problems when you are using non cisco devices? Greetings and thanks, Simon
Greetings, In the past, I worked in a Cisco shot and it supported SIP just fine. We had SIP based door access and intercom control that was from a third party vendor but I can't remember who made them. I would say the majority of things will work. You may have to do some custom stuff to the endpoint devices. Hi Billy, Thanks as always. We also have 2 alternatives in the pipeline. A 3CX based PBX as well as a virtual Unify PBX. Though it seems they like the Cisco one. :-) Greetings, Simon -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Billy Irwin via Blind-sysadmins <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Gesendet: Freitag, 13. Greetings, We are actively looking at FortiVoice as one possible replacement to our Mitel system that is going EOL in a couple of years. In the name of security these days, you can't seem to find consistency but for so long. Best of luck in this. I hope they pick something that you can be successful with. Cisco has gotten a bit better at it. You may have to really just play around to get things to work right for you.
