Github forWindows or an other solution?
Hello, I just decided to publish some of my Projects on GitHub for known reasons. Could anyone using it? Is there a way to manage repo's and commits with Jaws on Windows? I'll bring all of them to my Unix machine as soon as possible, but currently going with Windows based local computer. Thanks for your answers.
Since I have the Windows 10 for Linux subsystem installed, I'm using the Linux port of Git. I'm sure there are other solutions, but since I already have access to the Windows Linux subsystem, that was the quickest way for me to get it. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Can Kirca Sent: Sunday, April 16, 2017 4:02 PM To: Blind sysadmins list <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Github forWindows or an other solution? Hi, i guess there is git for windows (https://git-scm.com/download/win) which is command line based or tortoise git (https://tortoisegit.org/) which works over explorer. Greetings, Simon Am 16.04.2017 um 22:01 schrieb Can Kırca:

If you download the developers' version, you'll get a full set of UNIX tools, including a package manager. Install Vim or (as is my preference) Emacs, and you're well on your way. I'm yet to try the Linux Subsystem for Windows, but that's my next step. I'm using a Windows machine in my work environment, as I need to interoperate with Microsoft Exchange, OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business, etc. My background is in Linux, though.
