Hello, Have any of you used Scale Computing's HC3 virtualizing solution? If so, and if you got it to work, what screen reader / web browser did you use? We are considering purchasing one of their clusters to virtualize several of our existing servers. I was given access to one of Scale's test domains and have looked at the interface a bit. It is not very friendly to Window Eyes using either Firefox or IE. I will be trying Voiceover and Safari on a MAC later today to see if that is any better. We may go with VM Ware, but are currently leaning toward Scale but I need to figure out how I will be able to use it. Thanks for any comments! Scott
Hi, I have seen this before, it runs KVM on the backend so I seem to remember they give you access to some of the command line tools. It isn't a system which is used much in the larger enterprise space however, which is why I felt uncomfortable going with it in the end. Thank you Andrew. I will give them a call and have a chat about command line access. I hear your concerns about not being used much in the large enterprise space, but we are a small-medium business with an under staffed IT department and are looking for a simple solution. We are still evaluating and will be picking between Scale and VMware. Hi, Yep, I think that is where their target market is. One issue I found with the box at the time was it seemed the network implementation was quite immature. It didn't support VLAN tagging or some of the switching stuff you come to expect in HyperV or ESX.
