Completed online Microsoft exam with screen reader
Hi. Just managed to pass the AZ104 exam with a screen reader. It took a bit of getting right but the exam worked in the end. There was an outstanding issue with the chat window as the proctor was trying to contact me as I was leaning outside the webcam view area and I didn't realise it so they had to interrupt the exam but we got it sorted. I will probably right up the process more later on and try and take another test to see if the process is any easier but its possible to do at least some of these exams online now. Thanks. Andrew.
Hi Andrew Congratulations on passing the exam! I would be very interested to read a more detailed write-up of how it went for you. I am currently looking into taking the CCNA exam remotely next year and that’ll be Proctored as well. All the best Luke

Hi. One of the issues is we don't have a list of accessible exams. I know that newer Microsoft exams are accessible and have to trust that someone would raise an issue if I tried to book the exam with the relevant accommodations. You may want to ask accessibility@cisco.com about this. When you book for accommodations with Pearson the accommodations are specific to the provider, i.e, Microsoft or Cisco. Each provider can have different accommodations available based on the set up of their exam. Last year when I booked Microsoft accommodations there wasn't a screen reader option but there is now. If you look at the info Cisco provide about booking accommodations then follow the relevant links you can identify the accommodations available. I recommend trying to get the accommodations sorted as soon as you can, they last a year and can take a while to process requiring various documentation. Even once the accommodations are ready it takes a while for them to be updated on all the various internal systems so that the relevant teams can see them when booking the exams. Thanks. Congratulations for passing the exam and thanks for the information. At this point in time CompTia has not put out an accessible exam, so I will have to take it the hard way.
