Hello all, I am most likely going to download the beta of Windows 7 from Microsoft this weekend. Can anyone tell me if there is a unattended install available for this upcoming version of Windows or will I need a pair of eyes to install it? Any differences in the installation procedure from a blindness perspective? Thanks Frank Ventura, MCP
Frank: I've not grabbed the Windows 7 CD yet so I have many of the same questions as you. One tactic I plan to try is to take a Windows Vista system and upgrade that, I've had success that way. If you take that approach I recommend uninstalling your screen reader from the Vista system, use the various Narrators to do the upgrade, then reinstall your screen reader once you have a Windows 7 desktop. Personally I'm going to start with a clean Vista image that has nothing installed on it.
