Tool to create a website that is not a CMS
Hi all Bit of a strange question, but does anyone know of an accessible tool, for Windows, that will allow a client of mine to create a website? She doesn’t want to use Drupal or Wordpress but still wants things like CSS to have a consistent style across the site. She only knows very basic HTML so A program where a lot of coding needs to be done won’t work either. I’ve tried a lot of programs where you’re meant to drag and drop elements but none of them work with NVDA or Jaws. It’s for a charity website, so it shouldn’t need to be that advanced, maybe a signup form for the mailing list and a contact form. Thanks for any help. Hi Luke, You might look at Hugo: https://gohugo.io/ It's free and you just need to write text files (markdown). It also supports theming and a lot of stuff. To be honest, I'd use WordPress and be done with it. You only need install WordPress get your title of the site, install Contact Form 7 which is a plugin, install Accessible Contacts for Contact Form 7 and there's a basic web site. No real coding needed at all. All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: Luke Scholey <l.scholey@lukescholey.co.uk> Sent: 12 February 2019 15:23 To: blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org Cc: j.holder@lukescholey.co.uk Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Tool to create a website that is not a CMS Hi all Bit of a strange question, but does anyone know of an accessible tool, for Windows, that will allow a client of mine to create a website? Perhaps writing in Markdown or ASCIIDoc and converting to HTML would be easiest. There are various tools available along those lines. Luke Scholey <l.scholey@lukescholey.co.uk> wrote:
