I highly recommend OSTicket. I can give you a demonstration at some stage if you like. It's free, reasonably easy to set up, it provides the right kind of alerts in terms of SLA and updates, it's very light weight and fully accessible. It's also open source so it's reasonably straight forward to customize it when necessary. My company Computer Support services uses it. I implemented it about four years ago and I've used it since. http://helpdesk.computersupportservices.ie The main website for the company is www.computersupportservices.ie I also have the system automatically picking up Email to helpdesk@computersupportservices.ie so that it automatically creates new support requests. I hope this helps. BTW, I was turned off RT by the lack of reports and the crazy cost of implementation if you want it done for you.
