windows teraterm ssh client connecting to openssh server
Hello, Is anyone using teraterm on windows ssh to connect via public key authentication to an openssh server? If so, what did you have to do to get the key authentication working? The openssh doesn't appear to like the teraterm public key. Thanks. Dave.
Hi David. Yep. I generated the rsa key pair on my linux machine. Then if I recall copied via sftp the private key to my windows machine. Before setting the ssh server to key login only, obviously. Teraterm doesn't recognise the file by default, so when you go to browse for your private key, drop the filetype box to all files. Teraterm creates .ppk files. Which I don't think Openssh supports. Hello, What screen reader do you use with teraterm? And do you have any s pecial configurations? I was able to get sshd to recognize the teraterm public key not sure how I just imported it in to my authorized keys file on the server and restarted sshd. Thanks. Dave. I'm using JAWS. I don't use any scripts but just changed the TT settings as outlined here. http://www.cucat.org/class_notes/extras/teraterm_notes.txt I find you have to use the clear screen / buffer in the TT edit menu after a while as JAWS reads previously entered commands. I should try PuTTY again, as it's portable as well but TT does the job for me. Regards Chris Turner On 22/03/18 02:14, David Mehler wrote:
