Question about Citrix VDI?
Hi, so I could use some of the groups windows / remote accessibility knowledge. I have an opportunity to take a new job, it’s a network gig but the environment is based around Citrix VDI. I have both VoiceOver and JFW available and can add other tools if it matters. My JFW includes remote desktop support. Any pointers would be most appreciated. If it matters it’s a windows 7 environment hosted as a Citrix Virtual desktop accessible via the web or Citrix. There’s nothing layer 1 through 4 in that statement so I’m a bit lost.:) Any pointers or even if it’s possible would be appreciated. I don’t want to commit to the gig with out knowing the environment works. Thank you Scott
Hi, Last time I researched this it is possible but needs modifications to the standard way of working. The way I got it working on Citrix VDI was to have a machine up all the time and then RDP into that. I used WindowEyes at the time as I didn't have a JFW remote Desktop license. There was a lot of confusion on the Citrix side in getting a persistent desktop profile which didn't get shut down/have the IP address changed etc. Hopefully there are ways round it now.
