Has someone on this list been talking about a talking Windows 7 PE disk? If so, where can I get it?
Dear sir, Isos can not be massively given to other users between each others. So if You want to try Windows7 talking live .iso image, You have to use special tool to generate it for You. The project, which is able to do this is available from here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15279728/win7PEnvda%281%29.7z If You will use 7-Zip to extract The archive content, remove The (1) from The archive file name. To generate .iso, You will have to use some Windows7 source. Unfortunately, Windows PE is not Linux live environment, so it is not possible to support so many sound devices in live mode by using device drivers database. So if Yours computer will not start speak, You would had to buy USB headsets, which is compatible with USB sound device standard. Do not buy USB external sound cart with 3,2 jacks, it is not The same, it is necessary to use USB headsets, which are being able to work like a USB audio device.
Dear users and system administrators, May be, that somebody of us would start to be sad, that i AM writing about The PE based live projects, but i have found them very usable, stable and really very efficient way to enable visually impaired system administrators to perform Windows repairs. Two scripts, which i would like to present You, are being able to add special .sys, very little device driver, which can force Windows NT kernel to ignore NTFS file permissions set. The result is to have full access to all files and folders saved on NTFS volume. Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove Windows folder tree, or users folder tree because of Windows7 junction points. But antivirus are able to access all folders and files excepts junctions points, which are inaccessible even from running Windows regular environment. The first download link will enable You to use .script for Windows XP live project, it is The following link. http://reboot.pro/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=10685 This, second direct link will enable You to use this driver from Windows PE3 environment. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15279728/AccessGainDrivers.script How to use? I have tested those scripts with The following live projects. LXC.102011 https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15279728/LXC.102011.exe In this case, run .exe program, browse to The target installation folder and place The .script file for WIndows XP to The following folder. \LXC.102011\Projects\LiveXP\Drivers\6 Other\ Then You can run binbuilder.exe and specifi Windows XP source and You can press play button. To use script with Windows7 project, place The script for Windows7 to The drivers folder inside The Windows7 project folder structure. Example \win7PEnvda\Projects\Win7PE_SE\Drivers After successful project build, press The context menu while browsing The drives list while browsing it by using computer. Choose The menu item, which is telling somethink about bypass The NTFS permissions and press Enter. The drive, or more securely speaking, The NTFS partition will be now accessible and NT kernel will lost it's strong power to disable users to access The NTFS volumes with NTFS permissions. I AM testing next live project and if it will support NVDA, i will write about this project too.
Dear users and administrators, Nirsoft WEB site is containing many very useful system utilities. The very important facts are 1: All utilities are 100 percent MSAA compatible, so visually impaired users are able to use all GUI elements of all included utilities. 2. All utilities are able to be executed when using Windows PE environments. Thank's to Nirsoft utilities, visually impaired system administrators are able to disable devices installed in offline Windows installation One utility can even enable us to disable or enable system services, we can even change The startup type of The Windows device drivers. So it is possible to use all utilities, which are available for The sighted users when using Windows safe mode. The secret is, that user must use The /offline Command line option when launching serviwin or other utilities. for example serviwin /offline d:\windows Serviwin will start to communicate with The offline Windows installation, will load The necessary Windows registry keys and user can change The startup type of Windows services of offline Windows installation. In The drivers mode wiev users are able to change The startup type of The device driver. Utilities are able to work with Windows XP live environment or Windows7 live environment and i AM sure that also with Windows Vista. The aim of my post is to show, how many positive thinks can live environment do for us. And i believe, that The need of buy USB headsets is not so bad factor. And do not forget, that somebody may be will be develope new free driver import utilities for Windows 7 and XP live environments, so may be, that audio drivers would be autodetected from whole big driverpacks audio database without RAM allocation issues. I will try to find some driver import utility, if it is available. The nirsoft utilities are available from here. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/index.html So with live projects, You can access offline Windows installation, enable, disable devices, changing The startup type of installed services, changing The startup type of The Windows driver. It is also possible to remove viruses by using Microsoft security scanner, or by using Clamwin portable. Do not forget on Avast virus cleaner too. It is also possible to use other anty spyware programs from live environment . Do not for get, that some live projects are even able to support Internet Explorer version 6.0 or 8.0, many network carts can be supported by using driverpacks. So i think, that live environment can really start The revolution for visually impaired system administrators.
Janusz, Where are the instructions for what to do after downloading and unpacking the archive? When I unpacked that archive, I got dozens of files but nothing that is clearly marked as a instruction file. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mgr. Dear sir, The instructions are located at The special discussion forums. I have saved You a plenty off time, so You did not have to register on this forum site and You did not have to download The files from mediafire.com So You can read more at The following WEB sites. The live Xp project http://reboot.pro/4111/ live repair disk for blind people http://reboot.pro/15080/page__gopid__134129#entry134129 The most important think is, that default functioning live project with NVDA based on Windows XP are Multipe12 and Multipe23. NVDA from live project created by MR Amalux can be used, if user will create specdial bootable USB stick to boot The live project from The bootable USB stick. NVDA will also automatically functioning with Win7PENVDA project. So Multipe versions 12 and versions 23 will work with NVDA without other users intervention. Have USB headsets connected. Live XP created by MR Amalux will also work with NVDA, when i will find out how to manage to do this without no ned to burn .iso to CD and without running NVDA from other media than inserted bootable CD. The situation is a little complicated, but i think, that there is no simpler alternative, if we will not talk about Linux live CDS.
