Windows 8 developer release and unattended file
Dear advanced users, I would like to valuably and kindly ask You for advice. Does somebody of You know, if Windows8 developer release is supporting unattended mode like a Windows7? I Am very sad, because i have found out, that development release of Windows8 is not supporting fully unattended mode of Vmware player while choosing Windows7 operating system. BUt it is very probably true, that unattended mode will very probably be incorporated to The stable release of Windows8. I would also like to know, if newest vmwareplayer is supporting The Windows8 in fully unattended installation mode. Thank You very much. -- Mgr. Janusz Chmiel
VMWare did not comment on this based on the two live seminars I attended this week. VMSphere 5.0 is supposed to support Windows 8 at the formal release. I will go back to my VMWare notes and ask my TAP manager at VMWare about this kind of support. I do not have any xml for this but would appreciate any feedback from the list. Dear advanced users and developers, Would somebody of You try to help Me and would somebody compile The following C language application not only for Me? The purpose of this program is to edit Windows NT based registry. Program is written in C and GTK is being used for creating GUI, so there is A chance, that Orca, SUE or Gnopernicus will be able to cooperate with this program. The compiled binary form of GtkOfflineRegistryEditor is The part of special remastered Ubuntu release named Ubuntu antimalvare removal toolkit, but because Orca is not awailable and i can not install Orca from one of The free virtual consoles after booting this distro, it is necessary to compile this program. There are error messages related to The some environment variable, which have not been set. Would somebody compile this program? Here is direct download link for this product. It is source code in The original compressed form. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15279728/GtkOfflineRegistryEditor-0.1.tar.gz If somebody will have a luck and if somebody would try to find .deb or .rpm file with this program precompiled, please send The download link for .deb or .rpm file. But i think, that it will be necessary to compile this program from scratch. Any help will be welcomed. Thank You very much.
Hi: I don't know about fresh installs of Windows 8, but using Workstation 8.0 I was able to do a fully unattended install of Windows 7. I then immediately upgraded that to the developer preview and that's working fine. My guess is VMWare won't support an easy install of Windows 8 until MS makes it final as the format of the unattended files VMWare generates could change. There's no point of them supporting a prerelease. In the mean time, try the upgrade route. Dear syr, Yes, i can also install Windows7 X86 without issues, in fully unattended mode even while using Vmware player. So i will try also to install Windows7 first followed by The Windows8 installation from running WIndows7. Thank You very much for Yours advice. I will test, if Windows8 WDM engine will work and if vmware sound cart will work successfully.
I can tell you the latest build of Windows 8 will work on all most any sound card. I am running in on a 486 machine that was spec with Windows XP and the latest build of Windows 8 WDE works with that sound card. Here is also a great article regarding access for the blind using Windows 8 and I will also say the same on Windows 8 Server. http://open.salon.com/blog/the_weird_writer/2011/06/22/windows_8_and_accessi bility_for_the_blind Sincerely, Christopher McMillan, CIO 980 333 7400 Cell Phone 704 973 9969 Fax Line CEEK Technology -----Original Message----- From: blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Mgr.
