A long long time ago, it was common for a Windows or Linux user to install a product known as a yamp, which stands for "yet another MVC / PHP framework". The most popular one these days is called XAMPP, which gives you the Maria MySQL, Perl, and PHP. However, XAMPP is totally not accessible, even with OCR. There are also lots of things you can run to install and connect other things to the PHP you get when you install XAMPP, but since I can't get the core application installed, the other Bitnami stuff is useless to me. Is there another system whose core installer is accessible? As always, thanks in advance for any information or ideas of where to look. I'm about to try the YAMP on GitHub and will report back on accessibility.
Hello Steve, The new version of XAMPP installation script is not accessible, but you can download full portable version of the XAMPP from sourceforge.net, extract it to your drive and run 'xampp control.exe. New xampp controller more than accessible from the past versions. If you want to install MySQL and Apache as a Windows service, you can do that by using xampp controller as well. Please let me know when you need more help and/or links. Regards. 2017-10-14 16:29 GMT+03:00, Steve Matzura <sm@noisynotes.com>:

Well well, Mr. Kirca, you show up in the most interesting of places! Thanks for the recommendation. Yes, I am very disappointed that XAMPP installer is not accessible. One would think that in this day and age, such a program would be accessible by default, as there is nothing special that it does that makes it not want to be accessible--no pretty graphics or jumping gyrating widgets, just a very basic program with a very basic requirement. I'll try your suggestion and let you know how it goes. Thanks again. On Sat, 14 Oct 2017 16:52:26 +0300, you wrote:

OK, I downloaded xampp-portable-win32-7.1.8-0-VC14-installer.exe from PortableApps.com. How is this supposed to be extracted? I tried extracting it with 7Zip, with no success. Of course,if I run it, I get the inaccessible installer. I know I'm missing something but do not know what. On Sat, 14 Oct 2017 16:52:26 +0300, you wrote:
