Hi, I am due to start a job with a company he is contracted happening scenes in customer services on 1 August. I was wondering, if any of you are familiar with apples internal software? And heart accessible or not it is with voice-over. I believe there is a chat software is called Avalon Thanks, Barry. Sent from my iPhone

Hi, Apple seem to be employing more blind people in their stores, so presumably there are people using the software already. I would be very interested to know how it all works. You may find some people are unable to give you the specifics for confidentiality reasons. Someone on the BCAB list was suggesting they were starting a job with Apple very soon in Birmingham; you may want to ask that list to see if he pipes up. Thanks. John from the Mac for the Blind list I believe has contracted for Apple before and may be able to help you, not sure about the confidentiality side or is exact relation to Apple but that’s one resource you might try. I’m also interested, blind employees in the stores, really? Customer facing? Way to go Apple. I haven’t run in to a blind person in a store or other customer facing roll like that myself, I think that’s great. I know of many behind the scenes but never right out in full view of customers. I also wonder if writing to accessibility@apple.com <mailto:accessibility@apple.com> would yield any positive results. Maybe they can shed some light on the subject.

I know of a deaf/blind person who is customer facing in the Reading store. I would certainly consider Apple for a TechSupport job if my current situation changed. Cheers, Jen. On 7/21/16, Can Kırca <cankirca@gmail.com> wrote:
