Remote connection between 2 pc recommendations?
Hello, I have 2 desktop PC in the same local network, jaws Professional installed as screen reader. I'm looking a solution to control my other pc via remote connection. Jaws tandem working well on the local network; but there is no way to spesify perminant connection key. I'm using some jaws scripts, so can't use NVDA remote. Do you have any sudgestion? Thanks in advance.

1. Enable remote desktop, Computer properties, remote settings, remote tab. You need to enable remote desktop on both machines. 2. Install JAWS on both machines. 3. Double check your remote access server is enabled in JAWS settings. Jaws key plus “J,” basic settings, advanced settings. Make sure remote access client and remote access server are ticked, okay. 4. Go to start, type “mstsc” on the local station 5. Use host name or computer IP and you should be able to connect to remote station. 6. Once you are connected to remote PC, use start, and type JAWS, enter after that and you should be good to go. 7. If jaws have been running on the remote station, use jaws key plus f4 to turn off jaws and start jaws again. I hope that helps a bit. I assume your networking connections are in good shape and you can ping etc.… Anatoliy -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Can Kirca Sent: Monday, February 20, 2017 10:16 AM To: Blind sysadmins list <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] Remote connection between 2 pc recommendations? Hi again,
Could you share step by step details using Jaws remote feature? It will be my first connection with Jaws!
Thanks.

Yes, this pc's running Professional versions of the Windows 7. In RDP, wich configuration do you recommend? get remote audio to local, or use Jaws remote?

Hello,
I have 2 desktop PC in the same local network, jaws Professional installed as screen reader. I'm looking a solution to control my other pc via remote connection. Jaws tandem working well on the local network; but there is no way to spesify perminant connection key. I'm using some jaws scripts, so can't use NVDA remote.
Do you have any sudgestion?
Thanks in advance.

Greetings, There is nothing you really need to do to set it up. Once you RDP into the system and restart JAWS it will recognize your remote license. The only problem is restarting JAWS on the remote machine as that seems to be the only way I found to refresh the license with not visual assistance. Just make sure your local machine is activated and ready to go. Also make sure it says under the about section you have remote.
