You're trying to install a native Linux application into a Bash shell.
From what I understand, this functionality is a shell. You cant think of it like a Linux environment within Windows. Therefore installing things like Java won't be possible.
Use cases for me at the moment are quite simple. Using commands like cat, grep, cat, awk etc for looking at logs. WSL is more than a shell. At its heart it's a kernel driver that mimics the Linux kernel, translating Linux syscalls into Windows. As such, it runs unmodified Linux binaries, that are just the same as the ones you would run on a Linux system. It is a developer tool (not designed nor intended to run production code) and it is a preview, so you should expect things not to work as they are either not yet implemented or downright buggy. Openjdk, for example, does not work (yet) because it depends on the keytool program which in turn depends on having a proper /proc filesystem which WSL currently lacks. However, and since remember that this will run any Linux binary, people had success installing from the Oracle JDK tarball directly instead of using apt-get. Your mileage may vary, and you should expect bugs, but the direction is pretty clear and the WSL team wants any binary to just work. Openjdk, for example, does not work (yet) because it depends on the keytool program which in turn depends on having a proper /proc filesystem which WSL currently lacks. However, and since remember that this will run any Linux binary, people had success installing from the Oracle JDK tarball directly instead of using apt-get. Your mileage may vary, and you should expect bugs, but the direction is pretty clear and the WSL team wants any binary to just work. You're trying to install a native Linux application into a Bash shell.
From what I understand, this functionality is a shell. You cant think of it like a Linux environment within Windows. Therefore installing things like Java won't be possible.
Use cases for me at the moment are quite simple. Using commands like cat, grep, cat, awk etc for looking at logs.

fine but how to insatll openjdk-7-dev or what the name now are in ubuntu
