Hello Mark. You appear to have misunderstood my e-mail. I repeat, any audio device, whatever it is, can be linked via Bluetooth if you have the correct adaptor. I have one here, and I can plug it into anything, even a radio over thirty years old if I want to, because the adaptor is simply carrying the audio from the headphone socket to the transmitter, which then sends the audio via Bluetooth. If you have a bluetooth adaptor with a mini-jack plug on the end, you can make any piece of equipment work with Bluetooth. For example, I can plug my Bluetooth adaptor into my hi-fi amplifier, my Daisy player, my Plextalk Pocket, any CD player or tape deck, and this will make it Bluetooth compatible. However, it does not mean that you can control the equipment remotely, but simply that you can listen via your Bluetooth headphones if that is the way you prefer. However, I would suggest that a much better alternative is to use wireless headphones, as, if you buy the right ones, and don't skimp on price, you can get extremely good sound with cordless wireless headphones. You can even get wireless or cordless speakers which work in the same way. Peter

Hello Arno, I would never suggest Bluetooth for an audiophile, as there's always some smallamount of sound degradation that mey not be perceivable by folks who aren't audiophiles but which will affect the listening pleasure of audiophiles. I would recommend you stick to cables and the gold plated wired connectors and plugs if you use those. To answer your question though, the Miccus devices use A2DP. Firmware update problem.

Hi Gang: I have a Linio Pocket unit here which currently has the British firmware installed. I want to update the firmware with either the American or Canadian latest firmware. Using the update procedure, it will not allow me to switch to a different firmware language. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
