Hello, First, is the Linio sold in the U.S. the same as the Linio sold everywhere else in the world? If not, what different firmware does it use, if any? Will it work with NLS BARD books? Jonathan

Want to record music from my computer to my Plextalk and change the file from a daisy file to an mp3 file

Hi. I would like to record music from my computer to my ptp1 Plextalk player. After I record the album from my computer to my Plextalk can I change that file from a daisy file to an mp3 file? If I can do this, how do I go about changing the file from a daisy file to an mp3 file? Thanks allot and have a good day.

Those are what I was talking about when I mentioned the patch cords with the two plugs on each end, or, in some cases, two plugs on one end, and one mini or 3.5mm stereo plug on the other end. I have tons of those RCA patch cords. In the UK, a phono plug is something completely different. A phono plug just does one channel, so for every input or output you need two phono plugs. Sometimes they are known as RCA phono plugs, as they were originally used to connect a turntable to an amplifier, using a plug for the left channel and a plug for the right. Most tape decks have four of these, two for input and two for output. Peter

Stereo mini plug. A jack is the female end. The plug goes into the jack. People somehow get that mixed up. Hello Pam. I must say that I have not had the condescending attitude in shops over here. If I ask for something, then they get it for me, and they don't ask what I want it for. I have a good relationship with our hi-fi shops. I remember one occasion, some years ago, when I took a single point stereo microphone back because it was slightly down on the left channel. A young lad who had just started there served me, and he didn't seem to know what to do. He went to his boss, and said that someone was complaining about a microphone and what should he do. The boss looked over, saw it was me, and I heard him say, "If Mr Wilkins says the microphone is faulty, then it is faulty". Keep well. Peter
