Plextalk PTR1 for sale (UK based)

Hi everyone, I have a Plextalk PTR1 for sale and am asking £200 O.N.O. Original price was (I think) around £575. Although it is relatively old now, it has not be used much since it was bought and is in pretty much mint condition. Although it has the original CF card, there are no extra cards for use in the PCMCIA slot. Most of the normal accessories would be supplied with the unit. I am ideally looking to find a purchaser in the UK. Hi, I have just recently purchased a Plextalk Pocket, and joined the list yesterday. I was about to try to ask questions about Web Radio, podtasts, getting on to a wireless network and such; but I have now managed to connect successfully. (I'm still learning - among other things - what the various sounds mean, and the necessity to distinguish between the different sounds.) I'm in the Republic of ireland, by the way. Plextalk Pocket and Apple Earpods

Hi Everyone, I just learned something very interesting about the Plextalk Pocket and the Apple Earpods, which is, the headphones don't work with this particular Daisy player. These are the Earpods that have the built-in microphone for use with a cell phone, which means they have that third Plastic ring around the 3.5mm plug instead of the usual two for a set of stereo headphones. What I find so interesting about this is I've plugged these Earpods into a lot of different devices with no issues whatsoever. So what I'm wondering is what's different about the Plextalk Pocket Versus all these other devices I use? They include my Toshiba Portage laptop, Pioneer Inno XM radio, iPod Classic, iPhone 4S, original Kindle Fire, Kindle DX Graphite, Kindle 3/keyboard, Insignia portable HD radio, so as you can see that's quite a diverse collection of devices and 90% of them don't even have a microphone Input. So as I said before, why do they work and the Plextalk Pocket doesn't? Gene

I wish there was a way or in a future update we would be able to listen to .aac files. I am finding more and more stations switching from mp3 to this.

The old one had to be changed as it didn't have good security on it. The new one does but hasn't yet let me connect. In the mean time, I found the problem. When I use the Plextalk transfer software to create the NetworkSetting.ini, use the Pocket to load the settings, I was not able to connect to the router. When I used the Pocket itself to connect, it worked. Has anyone had problems with connecting to Belkin routers? I was using a d-link router and had no problems. When my brother upgraded our router to a Belkin router, whatever I try, I can't get my Pocket to connect to it? Our neighbor has a different model of a Belkin router here again, whatever I try, I can't connect to it.

Text to speech (TTS) •High-quality TTS is supported (Nuance automotive voice). 2. DAISY Online •DAISY online books can be streamed or downloaded. •DAISY online Dynamic menu system is supported. •DAISY online OUT-OF-BAND model is supported. When DAISY online server selects OUT-OF-BAND model, the PTX1 Linio automatically issues all new titles. •Audio label is supported. •DAISY online KXO exchange is supported. •Date and publisher information in the bookshelf media is supported. •Return the book by Eject key in bookshelf titles, so you can return the book with mask cover attached. 3. Media and title navigation •Media selection level by keys 2,4,6 and 8. •Media selection by next/previous title key.
