I am so glad I could help. Yes, most people download the zip file, and although there is nothing rong with doing so, its often proven to confuse people. That is why I'm so glad that PlexTalk now provide the .exe file wich works much easyer. A very good concept wich I wish other zip files can follow. Thanks so much, Aidan, for your clear complete instructions. I followed them, and the upgrade is now successfully installed on my PTP1. I don't know why it wasn't successful the first time, but the PTP never recognized the file. Perhaps I tried the zip file the first time.

Well, It will depend where it whent rong for you. But lets try. 1. Go to www.plextalk.com. 2. Select the ptp1 under the support section. 3. Then from that page select the firmware upgrades link. 4. On the page that follows, you will get a few tables, go to the table of your language. 5. Then you will get too files, a .exe file and also a .zip file. I suggest you download the .exe file to avoid any complications later. 6. Insert the sd card to be used in the pocket with enough free space inside a card reader and connect to the pc, or connect the ptp1 with USB cable. 7. Then locate the .exe file you just downloaded. The file will have the naming ptp1 in the file name. 8. Then press enter on that file. 9. Just wait for a few seconds or so and once you here the pc going back to the file list then press the letter p until you here "plex ver up" 10. Press control plus c to copy the plex ver up folder to the clip board. 11. Then locate the pockets sd card in windows explorer and paste that folder with the keystroak control plus v in the root of that card. 12. Then disconnect the ptp1 or its card from the computer. 13. Reinsert the card in ptp1 if its not in already and then connect the a c adapter. 14. The pocket will announce that it find the update and will automaticly start updating. Just leave it on its own to do its thing and once it restarted and announced the title you last used, you can then check the version from the system properties option found in the system menu. Hope this helps.

Hello,
I tried upgrading the firmware on my PTP1 when the last upgrade first came out, but I wasn't successful. Could some knowledgeable person give me step-by-step directions, so I can do it right? Thanks so much.
Blessings,
